陈劭雄Chen Shaoxiong 集体记忆——大英博物馆Collective memory - British Museum

展覽回顧已故藝術家陳劭雄的两件重要作品，藉以向這位被視為中國最具代表性的實驗藝術家及中國當代藝術史上的一位舉足輕重人物致敬。 展出的两件作品分別是陳劭雄與2005年前後在廣州創作的紀錄身邊家庭生活點滴的三維立體拼貼照片裝置《家景》系列（2005）；另一件邀請大眾以指紋印按壓出來的大型布面作品《集體記憶 - 大英博物馆》（2016）是藝術家參與式藝術的代表作。 陳劭雄（1962-2016），出生於廣東汕頭，1984年畢業於廣州美術學院。他是九十年代廣州觀念藝術小組《大尾象》的成員。
 
The exhibition of Chen Shaoxiong showcasing two of his significant works and paying tribute to one of China’s most experimental artists and his contributions to the history of Chinese contemporary art. The works include “Homescape” series (2005) - three-dimensional collage photos installation depicting daily life at his hometown in Guangzhou; another piece is “Collective memory - British Museum” (2016) – a large-scale canvas with fingerprints of the audience invited to participate in creating the artwork. Chen Shaoxiong (1962–2016) was born in Guangdong province, China, and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts there in 1984. He was a founding member of the Big Tail Elephants Group.
